This 6.2-inch cast iron skillet can be used on a stove top, in an oven, broiler or even outdoors at a campfire. In case you find that food is sticking to the cast iron or that it has hints of rust, re-seasoning is simple. 1 - We advise you first scour your cast iron with a steel wool in any areas showing rust. 2 - Next rinse the residue using water, sponge and soap if you desire. 3 - With a paper towel or kitchen towel dry the inside and outside of your cast iron. We advise you do not leave any water or air dry your cast iron to avoid further rust. 4 - Douse with a teaspoon of oil. 5 - With a paper towel coat the oil throughout the cast iron, inside and out. 6 - Set your oven to 350˚F. Cover the bottom rack with aluminum foil to protect your oven from any oil drippings from the cast iron. Place the cast iron upside down in the oven and bake for an hour. Then let the cast iron cool. You cast iron has now been re-seasoned. Its that simple.
